A fire alarm control panel (FACP) is the central unit of a fire detection system, managing inputs from smoke, heat, or manual call points and controlling outputs such as alarms, sirens, and notification devices. A 2–12 zone panel can monitor 2 up to 12 separate zones independently, making it suitable for small to medium-sized buildings.

An ABC Fire Panel is designed to monitor fire detection devices such as smoke detectors, heat detectors, and MCPs (Manual Call Points). When any device detects fire or is activated, the panel identifies the location (zone) and triggers alarm outputs for evacuation and safety response.

It is considered the “brain” of the fire alarm system, coordinating all inputs and outputs.
